I added -D_HPUX_SOURCE to the "DEFS" and it worked. Is there anything I can
do to find out if this is my machine specific problem or general HPUX10.2
problem.

I found some discussion on above error in discussion list. "make distclean"
was sugested, but it didnt help in my case. any help would be appreciated.
