Quick question:

if you compile without --enable-debug on 4.3.3, and run (as root)
'make test' do you get a bunch of errors (exit code 255) or passes?
Under OSX's 4.2 (which I just tried) it works just find under
--enable-debug but fails horribly without.  Strange.
