Evolution may discount the Adam and Eve story, but certainly it only enhances the belief that there is something greater than humans.

Here's something I like to toss at the occasional creationist I encounter...  Why do you insult your god by implying that creation can be so easily understood?  Poof...there it is?  What if the complexity of it really can't be even minimally understood without learning the stuff in, oh...evolutionary biology texts?  Why do you insist on bringing your god down to your puny level of comprehension?  Could it be that the bible you take so literally was just an attempt to bring it down to your level--you know, God appearing as George Burns?  (You can have some real fun with this.)
