I have had a couple of our Dell laptops do this. If the adapter and
battery don't take care of it, then the next step is a new mainboard on
ours.

Principal brought me his school laptop full of spyware.

I cleaned it, and the machine would go into a endless reboot. I wiped
it clear and reinstalled XP.

It all worked until the battery died. Put in a new battery, now it's
slowly discharging but working!

I suspected the Power adapter, hooked up a new one, both showed a green
light. But it appears the battery is not charging.

What have I missed here?

Scott
