I know I made a partisan remark. But, it was in reaction to one and I
couldn't resist responding (poor impulse control) but if I and those
who see these issues thru another set of lenses debate each of the
talking points that were just raised I don't think it's good for the
forum.
I know we have a mess right now. I am an old fashioned (with emphasis
on the old) liberal. But I recognize that both sides in these debates
bear some blame for the mess we are in. I cannot listen to left wing
radio any more than I can the right wing version because this is not a
case of us against them.
We are all us and I enjoy this list so much because that is what we
act like over and over again. Even when I ask a stupid question I get
a thoughtful, detailed response from someone who is an expert in the
field. We can all smile at the Sox vs Cubs vs Cards (whoever they
are?) but unfortunately none of us seem to have an easy time talking
about politics anymore.
