Reboot the machine and log on as another user on fresh boot up. You should
be able to delete the profile then. If you just log off a user and back on
as another user, unless you have the user profile hive cleanup service
installed, XP is notoriously bad about letting go of the profile from the
previously logged on user.

Subject: [tech-geeks] missing menu bar in Word 2000

Novice that I am, I'm having trouble locating the menu bar in Word 2000 on
one of my teacher computers. I googled the problem and the only solution
was to get out of full page mode. It's not in full page mode. The article
also said that a registry error could cause this problem. I don't want to
go there, so I thought I'd back up her files, then just delete her profile
and start again. When deleting the profile, I get the message "index.dat is
being used by another user". All is well when logged in as any other user.
Any ideas on this one?
Thanks
