FWIW, to me the "best of both worlds" scenario might be to have a "southern
branch" meeting location that meets at the same day/time as the "official"
meeting. The two sites connected via Elluminate but there is still the
richness of personal Face-to-Face interaction.

I have not joined IL-CTO yet and the only reason is that I cannot participate
in the meetings. I would if there was a way for me to be actively involved
with the group.

I expect one of the officers will chime in with more reliable info,
but speaking only as a participant, I'd say that they are already
trying to come up with ways to remedy the situation. They stream the
meetings via Elluminate and at last week's meeting, they shared that
two meetings for the 2011-2012 school year are tentatively scheduled
for downstate (Starved Rock and Heartland CC). Also, they have a
presence at IETC.

If you haven't already, visit ILTCO.org and get in touch with a board
member so they know what kind of interest there is.
