Its static, and the domain is as below, www.tardiff.gotdns.com, DynDNS.com
is providing the DNS. This account looks 'exactly' like a the other free
accounts I have with them where the mail.domainname.gotdns.com is working
just fine.

>From my end www.tardiff.gotdns.com will not resolve, however
tardiff.gotdns.com does correctly resolve. The server does send and receive
email just fine, and it does not have a website on it, so that does not
matter. Its day job is to receive email for the organization and allow
local clients to backup... and a little bit of port forwarding. Its just
strange the www. and mail. no longer resolve??

So... is this ISP, or DNS provider, or something that failed in the
backup/restore or... am I just missing a step?

Also, even if it is dynamic you can test it out by putting the current IP
into the dynDNS account. The ddclient in SME just updates the IP
automatically when it changes.

Dynamic or static IP? If you are using dynamic IP you need to put you
dynDNS account username:password into the SME server.

What's the real domain? Who's the DNS provider?
