That's true, we have an asterisk implementation done by Mousty and ourselves
running for over 7 months.

No issues, zero downtime, easy to manage. We love it.

Polycom phones, but you can neuter your cisco phones to just be SIP, but I
think it takes
time and I dont know how much you loose by doing it.

The polycom phones are cheap and sound excellent, we had a number of people ask
what we did because our phone system sounded "much clearer" than before.

We run a physical HP DL360 and a virtual asterisk machine for redundancy,
jacked into a PRI,
supported by Mousty.

At my previous job we had 3 call centers in the US plus office staff all run
off of asterisk
boxes, never regretted it.

Key to anything is support. I'm sure other companies have good support too, I
can vouch that
we have been very happy with Mousty.

True! :-)

I believe District 87 has been doing some stuff with them. I liked that they
were very careful to avoid proprietary components as much as possible and
allowed their customers to be as self-sufficient as they were comfortable with.

I wish I could have gone to that session. Their website leaves a lot to
be desired...
