I picked up the Samsung Epic last week and I am simply amazed by the screen. For apps, get appbrain app and that will let you see the "hot" apps over time. Wordfeud is a fun scrabble game that you can play against random people Waze is a great mashup of GPS Navigation, Social Networking, and Pacman...and it is free.
