I am probably alone with this remark, but I have been a proud fan since I
first learned about football.

The blame can be shared, that's for sure. You have a top go-to guy running
a route...From that same Giants game, you can see open short route guys -
with Cutler looking long.....at what I would assume to be the 'top go-to
guy'. While Cutler is guilty of holding the ball for far too long, Martz is
guilty of prioritizing long throws in his play calling.....and in most of
those cases, the line sucked so badly, that protection broke down before it
even was established. I really think the cure is to spread the passing
routes across the field 5 - 10 yards...and re-define deep as being 15-20
yards. Ethically speaking, Martz needs to realize this ain't St.
Louis....and they have to protect their QB's LIFE as best they can with what
they got up front in Chicago.

Part of that was Cutler not choosing to throw to the short route though. It
was well documented after the Giants game.

I think Tice can take him. I imagine it must be frustrating working with
the line he's got trying to run some of the plays we've seen so far this
season from Martz's playbook. Because of Martz I would assume, deep plays
take top priority which again...I would assume why short routes were so
often overlooked....ex. see Giants game.

Hopefully, some 'adjustments' can be made to keep Cutler on the field where
he needs to be.

What is the over/under for when 6'8" piece of meat Tice goes after Martz?
