Yes he does need to step up...but at what point to you blame the GM for not 
being able to draft good players? Also, he might end up being a good guard 
instead of a bad tackle. That has been seen in the NFL in the past...

Good think that the D is as good as it is.  But injuries are starting to mount. 
 Hillenmeyer was not a star but he was a serviceable backup.  Now Briggs is 
dinged.  And it is only a matter of time before Urlacher gets hurt.  Just when 
he gets to playing like an All-Pro again he gets hurt.
