Although the queries may be a little simple, surely to answer it on
the group is better - after all it means those who may not know then
have the answer - even if the answer is simply refering to another
artical on the web. A good model for a community to respond to tech
queries is the Gentoo Forums - http://forums.gentoo.org - which is one
of the best places to ask linux questions.

This helps your goal of sharing knowledge - otherwise an answer back
to only the originator would mean the rest of the group and the
internet searching public behind google/yahoo dont get to see it.
