hi,

i just read about the mediaenforcer.com stuff and their software to
track freenet nodes....

a suggestion of a new key/data/type in freenet:
(and ignore my bad english ;)

the current problem is, that nodes transfer (or cache) the data. even
if we can argue that these nodes just act as some kind of isp, i think
courts will speak the users guiltily (at least in some countries).

but it wouldn't be possible for a court to argue that the user
transfered the data, if the data is collected from different nodes.

a primitive example of my idea:

user A wants to insert something into the freenet and creates a random
file of the same size. he than XOR's (or something similiar) the
content of the original file with the random file and transfers both
files (the random and the xored one) into the freenet.

nodes on the net only transfer one of the files to other nodes, if the
other version is requested they tell their peer to request it from
another node. (hmm... this may be a problem?)

the node which requested the file gets it from two different peers,
but it doesn't know which of the files is the random data, and which
one the modified original content.

of course the problem of this method is, that the data size will at
least be two times as high.
