What are people recommending for whole system backups for macs? I've used time machine backup to a NetApp using more-or-less the technique described at

I also have some Macs as clients under NetBackup; works fine. Probably wouldn't meet your no-resource-hogging requirement though.

Elsewhere @work Retrospect is used, but I don't have any personal experience with it.
