Check out the "Human Factors" section on

Not exactly what you are asking for, but some good tips there.

Subject: [lopsa-tech] Noise levels in a workspace shared with servers?

Skipping the whole "don't put people and servers together" discussion...

Does anyone know where to find guidelines, either practical or
regulatory (I'm thinking OSHA here) for noise levels, exposure time,
etc. in a space that is used by technical people doing work and for
running equipment?

Recommendations on methods and measuring equipment required to test for
this would be helpful as well.

Thanks,
Zack
