I have a question about wireless access point security. We have a

the access point must have the security enabled. It becomes a giant
chore when we hold training sessions and people bring in their laptops

encryption. I want to have it similar to when you go to a Hotel and open
your browser and the access point (or whatever device is connected to
the AP) captures the request and then you enter a code (usually your
room number or a code the front desk gave you) and bingo you get an IP
and you are setup. Does anyone have a pointer to information on this
subject? I can't put a LINUX box there so I am looking for a device that
would handle it.

There are alternative firmware distributions for Linksys WRT54-series routers (the ones that run Linux, so either pre-v5 or WRT54L series) some of which have built-in "hotspot" functionality. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_wireless_router_firmware_projects for some examples.
