So, what sizes of encrypted volumes are you talking?  Is it possible to 
just break your data into smaller storage chunks and store like with like 
in many smaller files?  Or, do you need a larger filesystem layout in the 
encrypted volume, such that you can mount different encrypted volumes as 
parts of a larger single filesystem (/, /usr, /home, or even separate 
/home users as separate truecrypt volumes)?
