According to LINUX magazine (German, 03/09), quicktransit could be sth. to give
a try.
The article states, that it is the same CPU abstraction layer apple uses for
running
power-mac-binariesn on the current intel systems.

The article stated, that IBM had just bought Transitive and future licensing
was uncertain...
wikipedia states that IBM discontinued all product lines, but for Power VM.

BUT... there is a VMWare appliance with an installed quicktransit installation
on Linux
(http://www.vmware.com/appliances/directory/1198).
