When I was doing Red Hat Cluster  work, I remember seeing scripts from them to 
deal w/ STONITH situations.  They had them for various PDU's, IIRC.  APC, etc.

There was also an IPMI version, too, if you don't have a PDU.

And if it wasn't obvious, this was Linux based stuff, and RHEL at that.  But 
look at any kind of cluster system, where they really like hardware based 
fencing.
