Hi John. Well I use Mediawiki and iptables a lot. There is nothing special about Mediawiki here - it's just traffic passing over HTTP as far as the firewall is concerned. Could you show us relevant rules from the PREROUTING and FORWARd chains (or whatever chain it is, if you are using user defined chains). Are you suggesting that traffic to other sites is passing through the same rule ok or that other rules are working ok? Posting a selection of the relevant rules will help. Feel free to obfuscate IPs if you like but make sure the rules still follow the same logic.
