Oh sorry, I understand now.  Indeed, the patches in e.g. 5.0 ports seem
equivalent to what is now upstream (although not exactly identical).

In your opinion, should upstream Boehm GC try to support pre-rthreads
OpenBSD versions as well, or drop that and only support rthreads?  (Or do
the new patches work for both?)

Any way, the new patches will have to be integrated to master.  Would
anyone like to take that job?  If not, I'd like to try, although I don't
know how long it would take for me.
