We've discussed this topic many times before <smile>

I'm in the same boat, looking for a new surround-sound receiver and I'm
probably going to go for one of the more expensive Denon receivers, why? Couple
of reasons, it has Apple "Airplay" as part of it so I can stream audio/video
from my IOS devices to it.

Second it has a HTML interface thus connects to my network, has other functions
on the network as well.

Third, has an accompanying remote control IOS app though I'm not exactly sure
just how accessible this is of yet but prepared to take the gamble and try it.

I've got an old Denon surround sound receiver here, its 19 years old and
obviously! not up to the standards of today's surround-sound receivers but it
still works perfectly so that says a lot for the fact that "You Get What You
Pai For" and that unit cost me well over £12,00.00 at the time.

Its built well and has a lot of weight in it.

The Yamaha Surround-Sound unit I have for my lounge is impressive and easily
accessible once you know how the thing works but its now showing signs of age,
bought it 8 years ago and I'm going to have to replace it because its not HDMI
compatible.
