Hi Travis I can confirm the 2 meter amateur band is 144 to 148 MHZ in the Americas. What you'll probably find above that range is PMR, (Public Mobile Radio).

I did find a fellow here in town who claims he works on such radios, so I'm thinking I'll drop by his place and see if it's fixable, but I don't hold out much hope, considering on how old it is. It's built pretty solid though, it's been dropped many many times, and only in the last year or so has began misbehaving, so if it can be made to work again, I'd sure appreciate having it operational again, it was great to be able to pick up the weather stations when we lived in Alabama, since there was almost always tornado or rough weather warnings being sent out.
