Lynn can I just spread the word about GoldWave, a very cheap alternative to Sound Forge and may do what you want to do. What's more the author cares about his blind customers, potential or otherwise, and is very responsive to feedback. The trial is very fair as well; 150 commands per session before a nag screen is displayed, about 3,000 commands in total then the program stops working. All features are fully functional, and not crippled in any way. www.goldwave.com. I'm sorry you have been cheated on; that's no good at all.

best to contact Acapela and enquire if you can update the version on the thumb
drive. If not so be it and install on the local system only.

We do currently have it on his local system but what we did was a bit of a
cheat really, but we did it for the sake of safety, not to pirate anything. We
first installed Infovox 3 which includes NVDA. Then, we used RollBack RX to
create a snapshot of our system. Then we uninstalled InfoVox and then we rolled
the system back to when it was installed. Thus, we have our full compliment of
3 licenses on the thumb drive, plus a working license on the hard drive. We
paid a lot of money for this, so I have no scruples about protecting our
investment. In fact, I plan to do the same with our NetBook later today. Oh,
and I must get around to installing the Ivona voices. We still never heard from
their support people, despite the fact that I tried to contact them via an
alternative email address which definitely works. They simply haven't responded
to us so I am very unimpressed. The same is true of Sony Creative Software. I
bought Sound For Professional version 10 from them in May, a
nd I ha
ven't heard back from them either. In that instance we do not have our serial
number at all; so I'm very annoyed about that one. The contact links on their
website just take you to a FAQ which only lists corporate contact methods and
support info for the United States. I'm honestly sick and tired of these
Internet companies who only seem to think that intelligent life exists within
the US and nowhere else. Arrogance doesn't cover it! I honestly cannot think of
the right word; but they've conned us, well and truly. I paid about $399.00 US
for the product and currently it's unusable.

Anyway to get back to the point, I will contact the UK dealer first and see
what he has to say.

Lynne
