Hi again all concerned.

OK, I've just tried this and yes, WebDAV has indeed been removed. However,
using SFTP on port 21, I have securely and reliably managed to connect to our
server via the Internet. It's very fast actually and very reliable. So it is't
such a big deal as I had thought it was going to be. It works perfectly.

if anybody would like to try it with our server, feel free. First, download
and install ExpanDrive for your platform. Next, click the "New Drive" button.
In the protocol dialogue, change the protocol from ftp/ssh to sftp/ftp. Then
in the server name field, enter:
files.mac-access.net
Make sure the port is set to 21. Then, change the path to "/", (that is a
forward slash). That will allow the server to dictate where you are and not
produce an error. Then, in the user and password fields, enter "software", in
lower case and without the quotes.

If you have an account on our server, just enter your own user data and you're
good to go.
