Joe, Make sure the relay is not just used for degaussing purposes only. Check for bad connections on Horz driver Txfmr. Also,.....I don't think it's a good idea to run a set with the Reg. IC removed,..but, I never tried doing it before,...so,...maybe it's back to school time for me.

Sounds to simple, what am I overlooking...??? Even If generic HOT that says Sanyo x-istor was not a good replacement, would it still react this way with regulator removed...??? No Print.
