Some of us are out of touch Eugene. I reckon that we don't know what we have learned. Electronics is more or less an exact science. But a few may have learned it a little differently. Perhaps they have passed tests from mis-guided instructors and now they think that they know it better. In high frequency applications capacitors in parallel will make a difference. But that depends on the frequency and voltage across the caps and the proximity of their leads towards one another. I thought that we serviced consumer electronics which really doesn't matter all that much. Wow! I certainly must be "out of touch".
