Never mind I found the problem. Here is the story below. I can't believe I had not checked vertical before creating this post. I am so embarrassed!
There was no 24 volts to pins 3 and 6 of vertical IC (IC501 - LA7841). Traced source back to D502 which checked okay. When checking the continuity path between pin 7 of the flyback to the anode of D502, there was none. Problem ended up being that there is a solder rivet surrounding pin 7 which really needs a good "blob" of solder to ensure good continuity. This corrected the set.
