In ihss, there is a field that says which EPC your UE is attached to.
For our 8ks, they weren't showing up as active. Our 7ks were listed
though. I was asked if our NTP was set, and upon investigation found
that the time was using the wrong time zone, even though it was
correctly set as -6 in our case. NTP was functional otherwise on the
EPC.

The radios are active and working. It was just a visual bug of some
sort. An upgrade to the latest version of BV fixed it. Although the time
zone issue is still active at R&D it seems.

I use BV for most tasks currently as I'm not that familiar with the
cli's. Although it seems I need to be to get much troubleshooting done
with this gear LOL.

...oh, and also, I should mention that 'time-zone-offset-from-utc' is a
static value and does not, sadly, take DST in your particular timezone
into account. So for part of the year, unless you stay on top of DST
and change (...and reboot...) the EPC, you will be an hour off.

Where exactly are you looking where you are not seeing 8Ks show up?
'show ue-info' is the only thing I'm aware of that is authoritative
with respect to currently attached UEs.

We use RADIUS instead of iHSS, however, so perhaps there is something
available to iHSS users that I am not familiar with.

As far as timestamps go, do you have 'timing time-zone-offset-from-utc'
configured on the EPC? If you do, then UE 'attached date' will be
correctly offset from UTC per your specification, as will
'ReportedDateTime' for any log entries in 'show notification stream
alarms' (though 'eventTime' will still be in UTC). Even tlsyslog
entries will be correctly stamped.

Although I haven't tested this, as with everything else, I imagine that
if you need to set or change 'time-zone-offset-from-utc', that change
will not take effect until after an EPC reboot.

Is anyone else not seeing radios showing up as connected to their EPC
in ihss?

It seems my 8ks aren't showing up, and also my epc doesn't seem to want
to have the proper time on it. It doesn't seem to want to adjust to the
time offset. The time is right except for the hour being way off. It's
"stuck" at UTC it seems.

I do have a ticket open, just curious if anyone is seeing the same.
