After a break, I'm back working on some apps using the mac studio. WHat worked before is no longer working, namely, connection to a database on the same machine.
Per previous messages, if I want the ODBC on the server, I use the New Data Source ODBC option, and insert jdbc information so that on the dev machine, it's using jdbc. I have two databases that were set up this way, and they work fine. I go to create a new one, and witango studio hangs. It hangs hard, because after force quitting and restarting a couple of times, it actually crashed the OS. I had witango studio 6.07, so find there is a Terascript 6.1.5, download and install it. I can still see the previously created data sources just fine, but when I go to create a new one, Terascript hangs. Must force quit. WHat am I doing wrong?
