Witango had an interface called WISP that enabled us to execute a witango file from a command prompt bypassing the webserver.
This was useful for a few reasons: 1. Files ran MUCH faster than when we executed them through the webserver. I ran performance tests that consistently verified this 2. We didn’t have to deal with browser timeout issues for applications that we wanted to run for a long period of time This interface included a wisp.ini file: ========================== [Witango Client Definitions] WispClientDemo= [WispClientDemo] WITANGO_CONFIGPATH=C:\\Program Files\\Witango\\Server\\Configuration ========================== and an application that Phil (Witango) gave me called witangoclientdemo.exe that you can execute from a command prompt: "C:\Program Files\Wisp\WitangoClientDemo.exe" \witangoFile.taf I’ve been using this for years on older systems. It’s great because I can set up a sql agent job and just pass the application file to the witangoclientdemo.exe and it just runs, fast and reliable. Easy scheduling, logging, error handling etc. Does the new version of terascript have this functionality?
