I used a similar size imaged image that was 600dpi, and I got similar output. Then I selected one line of text and tried that and it didn't work. I tried to train tesseract but it didn't pick the right number of boxes. That's when I stopped playing with it because it was 1 in the morning. I'd upload the image, but considering it was my private key that I was trying to recover, I'd rather not post it ;)
