I uploaded the test file as crop9.tif; since I scanned at 1200dpi, the
image was huge. I had to scale the image down to upload it to Google,
I used gimp.
I tried various file sizes to input tesseract, scaling the image using
gimp. Maybe it's the tiff filter on gimp. Anyway, once I scaled the
image to less than 10MB, I managed to get this for output: Sample:
