Finding your Linux build-instructions isn't easy -- since they're hidden
in a file described as "Windows build instructions".

I've added instructions how to build it on Linux and on Windows.
It builds smoothly either on Fedora and on Widnows. Are you sure you
have properly installed Qt and cmake?
I also prepared Windows binary package. You can download it from

I've written graphical box files editor.
It's written in C++ using Qt.
It has similar functionality to tesseractTrainer written in Python. In
addition it allows to edit multiple documents, zooming image of
documents and it is much faster than the python one.
It would be easy to integrate it with API of tesseract-ocr.
You can find project homepage athttp://github.com/mk219533/tesseract-gui
