Hi folks, After Donaldo showing me many small things that can go wrong with building my tools, I bundled them all together in a tarball, adding the libutf dependency and a Makefile.
So now they're rather easier to build, and you don't have to look in the header of a file to find the appropriate command. Some of them need imagemagick and freetype dev files; if you're on debian or a derivative you can do this to get them: apt-get install libmagickwand-dev libfreetype6-dev You can find it at the "njwtesstools tarball" link on http://www.dur.ac.uk/nick.white/tools/ Feedback etc would be most welcome, Nick P.S. If anyone intrepid (foolish) enough to run Windows wants to have a go, the tools *should* compile fine with Cygwin. If you get that working, please let me know and I'll post the binaries on my website. P.P.S. I tried getting Cygwin to work with wine on my Linux box, and it turns out that is not a sane thing to do. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "tesseract-ocr" group.
