OK, can you send the brew file? It should be in /usr/local/Cellar, I think

I applaud your foray into technical turf to solve the problem. I wish they
had a more refined system for HomeBrew that was easy to use. I think you
can move the downloaded file to somewhere in /usr/local/

And I assume you installed the HomeBrew system first, which required you to
install the command line tools for Xcode?

To use the formula above you'll need to install libtiff (which you'll see
on the page). I'm not using my mac at the moment, but can look it up
later...
