Again THANK YOU! I installed Homebrew first and it is in /usr/local/Library/Homebrew; I also installed the Japanese language training. I installed the command line tools for Xcode (xcode452cltools10_76938212a) but am not sure where they reside, but terminal doesn’t ask for them anymore. I find libtiff at marlenblough/tiff-4.0.3. As per your advice I installed leptonica 1.69. It is in marleneblough/leptonica 1.69. I have screen shots of all of this as well as the terminal activity. I wonder if I move the last two to usr/local/Library if it will solve my problem. The command I use in terminal: brew install tesseract. Is there a command to tell it to find libtiff in marlenblough/tiff-4.0.3 instead of attempting to download? Should I send you the screenshots?
