Mojca:

In such cases (if you know how to write the code), then it could be
hooked into loadhyph-es.tex for example.

If it can be hooked in loadhyph-es.tex, then the main
problem is writing a compact "selector" in TeX.

The most simple thing to do would be to just add another line to load
some addational patterns inside loadhyph-es.tex. That can already be
done easily, but it won't give you any control inside your document
yet.

Not complete, but at least to some degree, even if regenerating
the formats could sometimes be still necessary.

If you are thinking in that direction and come up with some clever
solution, it would also be nice to take into account also:
- Russian patterns with zillions of settings
- Mongolian (that uses two different encodings)
- dated German patterns (there already is a solution for that, but if
there was some unique way ...)

Of course, if a generic solution is possible, this will
be the one to go.

Cheers
Javier
