Many thanks Christof for your reply.

Please see my earlier reply to Dirk's suggestions.

In order to illustrate, I include the M-Tx file with its DVI again without
the @+/- commands. The default placement is inconsistent with what is in the
manual: in bars 15-18 the soprano appears below its staff, and then in bars
19-23 it pops back up. The tenor and alto lyrics overlap, which is due to
the Space: command given, but I can't explain the soprano part.

Are the slurs disposable in the music or in the code? I see what you mean,
from section 1.3 Dirk describes the {} for the outer slur where they start
on the same note. But if you mean "don't put so many slurs in the piece", I
have to argue that they are an aid to performing the piece, otherwise you
would have to go only by the lyrics to know when to start or stop singing?

The file mymusic.tex only contains redefinitions for the bar numbering that
I got from Werner, plus a bunch of other code I've commented out. I'm
including the file so you can see.

I don't have any [ ] in the entire file, please show me what was bothering
you?

The file mymusic.tex only contains redefinitions for the bar numbering that
I got from Werner. I still don't get how the music is correct or very
readable without the slurs. Perhaps in an SATB4 style. I will play with it
and see how it looks, though. Thanks for the idea.

Okay, I changed it. I did it that way because that's the way it looked in
the piece I'm basing my code off of.

We'll get this thing right, yet. :)

Cheers,
Mike
