I see the "end-rounding" only in printouts, not on screen. It only affect
horizontal beams. It's qualitatively different from simple horizontal
misalignments of objects that are otherwise the right shape. Maybe it's how
the particular printer renders these lines? (HP Laserjet 4MV, does not have
postscript).
