I thought that I should give my vote for the PMX behavour regarding PS slurs. I have not tried them yet so I can't say if they differ much from todays solution. As a user with a lot of old scores I would be happy if the new slurs would be an option (with an A-command) as long as there is a chance that the new slurs will not have the exact same curvature, thickness etc. This way it would be possible to continue to process old scores without worrying about the exact layout. If the new slurs proves to be a better solution it would be possible to manually convert the old score by adding the appropriate option and check all occurances of slurs/ties in the complete score. If it will not be optional and the slurs are not exactly the same it might be an overwhelming task to just make a small correction of a big score since it then would have to be completely checked again.
