Although I apparently forgot to say so in the manual, PMX has never been able to deal with slurs that start in one line of music and end in another. I assumed this was rare enough that it could be handled with inline TeX. If I ever were to include it, the syntax would require at a minimum a new, unique modifier in the slur command; otherwise, how would PMX know when to stop looking for the termination of a slur in the same line of music where it started?
