PMX has some means of typesetting informational text on the page, such as Tt (title) and h (heading). When typesetting modern music such as jazz, it often comes to writing text directly in the scores (such as "solo ad lib" or a box indicating "Intro", "A" or "Bridge"). I mostly use inline TeX macros for this kind of typesetting, but I often find it tricky and time-consuming to move things around by adjusting horizontal and vertical offset. If I later change the layout a little, such as line breaks, I have to do this all over again.
I wonder if you experienced PMX:ers and MusicTeX:ers can give me advice on the easiest solutions for doing the following: * Printing revisions, copyright information, dates, etc at the bottom or top of each page. * Using more than one line for titles (Tt, Tc). * Globally redefine PMX fonts (i use \smalltype in Tc). * Positioning segno and coda symbols (i use \loffset and \roffset). * Positioning text like "Solo ad lib" and "D. C. al Coda" (i use \loffset, \roffset and \zchar). * Using note symbols (segno, coda, quarter note) in dacapo and metronome directions. * Positioning section marks such as [Intro], [A] and [Bridge] (i use \loffset, \roffset, \zchar and \box). * Print a shorter line at the end of a piece (if, for example, only one or two bars is left). // Stefan _______________________________________________ TeX-music mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://sunsite.dk/mailman/listinfo/tex-music
