You can get the recent past beta distributions by pointing your browser directly to the software directory at http://icking-music-archive.sunsite.dk/software/pmx/ or following the "software directory" links on the main page or the software page. The updated pmx.tex is in pmx2406.zip. As for the slur problem Andre has noted, I hadn't seen anything quite this bad before. And I'm afraid Apl doesn't help...it only helps with ties (Christian, did you see an improvement???). Even so, it was tricky to program. It breaks every linebreak tie into two separate, ordinary ties. This remedies two "features" of the original design that are not to my taste: (1) The first segment of the original ties has an unusual shape; with "Apl" it is now just an ordinary tie, and (2) the second segment started too far to the right for my taste; with "Apl" the starting point of the second segment is moved to the left. I've thought about using a similar approach to reshape linebreak slurs, but it's even more complicated to program and I got bogged down. At a minimum you have to know the ending height of the slur to vertically position the starting point of the second segment; that implies more data retrieval and storage requirements than for ties. In the near term, since PMX allows you to start and end a slur on the same note, you could manually break the offending slurs in two within your pmx source, and independently control each segment. But that remedy suffers the same shortcoming as Andre pointed out, in case you later change where the linebreak comes. So I guess I really ought to deal with this. --Don Simons _______________________________________________ TeX-music mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://sunsite.dk/mailman/listinfo/tex-music
