What about removing all references to t slurs from the documentation except a couple of sentences stating that they are obsolescent, deprecating their use, and referring the reader to older versions of the manual for more information? Speaking of backward compatibility: the first thing I do when compiling a new PMX version is to comment out the code warning me that I have done something incompatible with PMX as it was before 1.2.
