I noticed that a virus somehow escaped to the mailing list. The relevant headers are

I am trying to look at the filter options allowed by the mailing list manager (mailman): I hope that the solution I chose, namely block all messages tagged multipart/alternative, is not overkill, and leaves small TeX attachments alone.
