I noticed that a virus somehow escaped to the mailing list.
The relevant headers are

>From: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
>Date: Wed, 24 Mar 2004 21:43:49 +0100
>Subject: [TeX-music] Mail Delivery (failure
> [EMAIL PROTECTED])

the message is a multipart/alternative, and the actual virus
(file called message.scr) is tagged as a "audio/x-wav" (sic!)
I am trying to look at the filter options allowed by the mailing
list manager (mailman): I hope that the solution I chose, namely
block all messages tagged multipart/alternative, is not overkill,
and leaves small TeX attachments alone.
Please let me know if there is anything strange!

ciao, .mau.

ps: the archives contain the entry, but the actual message is
filtered, so it may do no harm.
