Hi,

I have a diagnosis (but not a cure):

My thesis is double-spaced and (in 1997) this used to also double-space the
lyrics. The resulting vertical spacing gave a nice layout.

But now the lyrics aren't affected by the double spacing - probably because
of a LaTeX upgrade we had in 2000. I read that vertical spacing was affected
by some LaTeX upgrades.

Here's the command I used to double space:
    \renewcommand{\baselinestretch}{1.4}

Does anyone know:
(1) what part of the installation I could change, so that double spacing
will affect lyrics?

(2) how I can double-space lyrics?

(I set-up a private dir (thanks Christian) and spent all day trying
different versions of things - older and newer - trying to get it to work).

Cheers,
Brendan
(BTW: the current M-TX installation won't make with C, because of a
p2c/p2c.h dependancy, and maybe other problems. I couldn't get the pascal
version to work either).
