In light of this discussion about 2-figured-bass pieces, it's quite a
coincidence that I performed in one at the International Baroque Institute
at Longy (Cambridge, MA) from which I just returned. It was a canonic sonata
by Pietro Locatelli. The canon wasn't just in the treble line (like in the
Goldbergs); it was in the continuo as well. So band #1, with violin, cello,
and harpsichord, played the piece, and band #2, same instruments, played the
exact same piece two beats later. Better not get lost!

I did spend some time on the airplane trying to resurrect the capability in
PMX, but it's going to be rather complicated, so please don't hold your
breath.
