you're missing the in-line meter change command 'm'
The compilation error message is still the same:
%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% Bar end occurs in mid-note: ERROR on line 4 e4 d4 e4 f4 | e2 ( d8 c8 d8 b8 ) |m3/2 c0d %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%
You get the prepmx compile error because there is no space between the bar token (|) and the meter change command. I silently added this space in my reply but probably ought to have been explicit about it.
